The history of Obong University

Obong University, located in Obong Ntak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, began as the African College of Management in 1997, established by the Raleigh Group of Institutions to provide quality education rooted in Christian values. It transitioned into a full-fledged university in 2007 after receiving accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC). As one of the first private universities in Akwa Ibom State, Obong University has remained committed to academic excellence, character development, and leadership training through a faith-based approach. The university offers diverse degree programs in Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences, and Management Sciences, integrating technology-driven learning with moral instruction. With a strong ICT infrastructure and innovative academic programs, it continues to expand its research, facilities, and community service initiatives.
